Prince Edward has reportedly become the first member of the British royal family to visit Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor following his arrest on his 66th birthday in February, amid ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein scandal.
According to reports, the visit took place at Sandringham, where Andrew is said to be staying after refusing to vacate the residence. Sources claim that the Duke of Edinburgh had initially planned to stay at Wood Farm but was instead accommodated in the main house due to Andrew’s presence.
The visit comes at a time when senior members of the royal family have largely distanced themselves from Andrew following the serious allegations against him and the resulting public backlash. Reports suggest that he has also been largely ignored by his daughters and former wife.
A source cited by The Sun said Prince Edward had a “quiet word” with Andrew, possibly conveying concerns or messages from King Charles regarding recent developments. Edward has previously expressed sympathy for victims of Jeffrey Epstein and emphasized the importance of remembering them.
Andrew is reportedly facing further restrictions, including being banned from horse riding and remaining out of the public eye. He has also been asked to return valuable artwork allegedly still in his possession.
The situation continues to draw attention as tensions persist within the royal household, with Andrew’s future role and status remaining uncertain.
