LONDON: Zendaya and Tom Holland appeared together on the red carpet at the UK premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Wednesday, joining co-star Florence Pugh as the cast continued promotional events ahead of the film’s global release.
The premiere was held at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, two days after the cast attended the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
Holland and Zendaya, who portray Peter Parker and MJ in the Spider-Man franchise, posed for photographs together during the event. Actress Marisa Tomei, who reprises her role as Aunt May Parker, was also present, while Florence Pugh attended as part of the film’s promotional tour.
Who Attended the London Premiere?
The London event brought together several members of the film’s cast as Sony Pictures continued its international promotional campaign before the movie’s theatrical release.
Pugh returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Yelena Belova in a cameo appearance. Other cast members include Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colón-Zayas and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.
The premiere follows the cast’s appearance in Los Angeles earlier this week.
What Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day About?
The film is set four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker living in isolation after choosing to erase himself from the memories of those closest to him.
According to the official synopsis, Peter continues fighting crime in New York while confronting a series of new threats that signal the arrival of a powerful adversary.
Early reviews have been largely positive, with industry analysts projecting the film to become one of Sony Pictures’ biggest box office openings.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on July 31.
