Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and British High Commissioner Jane Marriott held a meeting in which they discussed the evolving regional situation and broader diplomatic developments, according to the Foreign Office.
The FO said Dar underscored Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to facilitate engagement among relevant stakeholders and stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for the peaceful resolution of disputes.
In a separate statement, the British envoy also appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and “ceaseless drive” to help address global challenges, particularly its facilitative role in encouraging engagement between the United States and Iran at the negotiating table.
