BRISTOL: Pakistan concluded their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a 37-run victory over the Netherlands at the County Ground in Bristol, England, on Saturday.

Defending a target of 127, Pakistan bowled out the Netherlands for 89 in 18 overs to register a comfortable win.

Netherlands captain Babette de Leede top-scored with 30 off 41 deliveries, while opener Heather Siegers contributed 24 from 16 balls. No other Dutch batter reached double figures.

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana and Ayesha Zafar led the bowling attack with three wickets each. Nashra Sandhu and Diana Baig claimed one wicket apiece.

Earlier, after electing to bat first, Pakistan posted 126/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

The innings began cautiously as opener Muneeba Ali was dismissed for 12 in the fourth over with the score at 15.

Ayesha Zafar and Sidra Amin Feroza then steadied the innings with a 79-run partnership for the second wicket. Ayesha scored 32 off 29 balls, including two fours and a six, before being dismissed in the 14th over.

Captain Fatima Sana, promoted to No. 4, managed three runs, while Eyman Fatima was dismissed without scoring on her Women’s T20 World Cup debut. Iram Javed made two and Saira Jabeen added five as Pakistan lost wickets in the closing overs.

Feroza anchored the innings with an unbeaten 63 off 52 deliveries, striking nine boundaries. Her innings earned her the Player of the Match award.

For the Netherlands, Iris Zwilling was the most successful bowler with 2-19 in four overs, while Hannah Landheer, Heather Siegers, Silver Siegers and Caroline de Lange took one wicket each.

The victory allowed Pakistan to finish their Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on a winning note.
