Justin Bieber delivered a widely discussed performance at Coachella, presenting a career-spanning set that drew strong reactions from fans and fellow artists alike.
Among those praising the show was Lizzo, who shared her admiration for the Canadian singer following his return to the festival stage over the weekend.
Taking to Instagram, the Grammy-winning artist described Bieber’s performance as “beautiful” and “transcendent,” saying she was deeply moved by the set.
During his Saturday night appearance, Bieber performed some of his biggest hits, including Baby and Never Say Never, and was joined on stage by The Kid Laroi, Wizkid, Tems, and Dijon.
Lizzo wrote that she witnessed “a popstar who grew up in front of the world fully transcend into his artistry,” adding that she appreciated the emotional depth and effort behind the performance. She also noted that she chose not to take photos or videos in order to remain fully present during the set.
She further shared an image from the performance showing Bieber in front of a projection of his early YouTube-era footage, highlighting his journey from teenage internet sensation to global pop star.
Her post also included a reflective message about artistic expression and authenticity, while thanking Bieber for the performance.
Hailey Bieber reacted to Lizzo’s comments with heart emojis, while Katy Perry, who was also present at the festival, joked in a social media clip about streaming quality during the set.
Earlier in the festival, Lizzo also shared clips from The Strokes’ performance, calling herself the “Queen of Coachella 2026.”
The singer recently completed work on her upcoming fifth studio album Love in Real Life, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
