Tesla Inc has lowered the price of its high-performance Cybertruck, Cyberbeast variant in the United States, according to pricing data on the electric-vehicle maker’s website.
The Cyberbeast, a top-tier version of Tesla’s futuristic pickup truck, is now listed at $99,990, down from $114,990, marking a $15,000 reduction. The updated pricing was in effect on Tesla’s official site as of Friday.
The price cut comes as Tesla continues efforts to boost demand for the much-anticipated Cybertruck, which has faced slower than expected sales and production challenges since its launch. The Cyberbeast variant features a more powerful tri-motor setup and enhanced performance compared with standard models.
Industry analysts have pointed to signs of softening demand in the US electric pickup market, with some dealers offering inventory for immediate delivery and extended selling times for used Cybertrucks, although Tesla has not publicly commented on demand trends.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the pricing change or its broader strategy. Shares of the company have been volatile as investors monitor sales performance and competitive pressures in the EV sector.
The Cybertruck, originally unveiled in 2019 and entering production in late 2023, was designed to compete with traditional pickups while showcasing Tesla’s electric technology. However, its angular stainless-steel design and high starting prices have drawn mixed reactions in the market.
