Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum today as part of his ongoing tri-nation diplomatic tour, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

According to a statement posted on X, the prime minister will take part in a leaders’ panel titled “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties” at the fifth edition of the forum in Antalya. He will present Pakistan’s perspective during the discussion and is also expected to hold meetings with other participating global leaders.

The Prime Minister’s Office added that Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the forum’s inaugural ceremony during his visit.

The Turkish leg of the trip follows his engagements in Qatar, where he met the country’s leadership to discuss regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts related to Middle East tensions. Prior to that, he visited Saudi Arabia, where he held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.

The Foreign Office said the visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar were part of bilateral engagements focused on strengthening cooperation and discussing regional peace and security.

Pakistan has recently stepped up diplomatic outreach in the region amid efforts to support de-escalation between the United States and Iran, including facilitating dialogue that led to a fragile ceasefire and early rounds of talks in Islamabad involving multiple stakeholders.

During the trip, Pakistan has positioned itself as an active mediator, engaging regional powers to promote stability and prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
