Geopolitical Analyst Claims Lionel Messi Could Run for President Within a Decade

Argentina: A Canadian geopolitical analyst has claimed that football star Lionel Messi could enter politics and run for the country’s presidency within the next five to 10 years, prompting debate online. The remarks, made during a recent interview with American political commentator Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (SNEAKO), have not been supported by any official evidence, and Messi has not announced any political ambitions.

    Who Made the Prediction?

The claim was made by Professor Jiang, a Canadian educator and forecaster who runs the YouTube channel Predictive History. Speaking during the interview, Jiang predicted that Messi could eventually seek Argentina’s highest political office.

Jiang, who says he uses game theory to forecast geopolitical developments, cited his previous predictions, including Donald Trump’s 2024 U.S. presidential election victory and the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict, as examples of his forecasting record.

What Else Did the Analyst Claim?

During the interview, Jiang alleged that if Messi became president, he would remain in office for nearly two decades and implement policies that would be harmful to Argentina. Among his claims was that Messi would oversee large-scale immigration of Indians into Argentina.

Jiang also alleged that President Javier Milei would act as a “puppet-master” behind the scenes. When questioned by the interviewer about why Messi would allegedly follow such a path, Jiang referenced the footballer’s childhood treatment for growth hormone deficiency and made further unsubstantiated allegations involving supposed “controllers” and drug use.

The analyst did not provide evidence to support those claims.

Neither Lionel Messi nor his representatives have publicly responded to Jiang’s remarks. There is also no indication that Messi plans to enter politics or seek public office in Argentina. The comments remain speculative and reflect the analyst’s personal predictions rather than verified information.
