United States: FIFA has announced a major entertainment lineup for the 2026 World Cup Final Halftime Show, confirming global superstars BTS, Shakira, and Madonna as headlining performers for the event.

The announcement was made via FIFA’s official Instagram account, with the lineup reportedly curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, generating widespread global attention across both sports and entertainment audiences.

According to FIFA, the halftime performance will take place during the World Cup Final on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States. The show is expected to last approximately 11 minutes, making it one of the most high-profile entertainment segments in the tournament’s history.

FIFA also stated that proceeds from the performance will be directed to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports global education initiatives.

The announcement immediately triggered widespread reactions on social media, with fans expressing excitement over the unprecedented collaboration of global music icons on one stage. Some users described the lineup as an “iconic combination,” while others highlighted BTS’s return to the FIFA stage, noting that member Jungkook previously made history as the first South Korean artist to perform at a FIFA halftime show.

BTS supporters also celebrated the group’s full participation, while other fans predicted the performance would mark a historic moment for both football and global music entertainment.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is expected to be one of the most widely viewed sporting events globally, with the halftime show adding a major entertainment dimension to the championship match.
