China has reiterated its full support for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote regional stability, as Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad, according to the Foreign Office.
During the meeting, the Chinese envoy conveyed Beijing’s appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating engagement between the United States and Iran, aimed at sustaining peace and stability in the region and beyond. The two sides also reviewed the evolving regional situation.
Dar reaffirmed the strength of the Pakistan–China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, highlighting the depth of bilateral ties and stressing the importance of continued high-level exchanges between the two countries.
Separately, China’s Foreign Ministry expressed hope that transit through the Strait of Hormuz would return to normal at the earliest, underscoring concerns over disruptions in one of the world’s most critical energy corridors.
Beijing also urged both Washington and Tehran to maintain momentum in ongoing diplomatic engagements, signalling support for continued dialogue between the United States and Iran to ease regional tensions.
