United States: The Baltimore Ravens have acquired two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade involving multiple draft picks, strengthening their offensive line after the departure of Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum.
Under the deal, Baltimore will send Philadelphia a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round selection in exchange for Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
Jurgens, 27, remains under contract through 2029 and is expected to provide an immediate boost to Baltimore’s offensive line.
Why did the Ravens trade for Cam Jurgens?
The move addresses a major need for Baltimore after Linderbaum left the team for the Las Vegas Raiders in March. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said the team had admired Jurgens since the draft process and viewed him as a long-term piece of its offensive line.
Jurgens is expected to bring experience and versatility to a unit that has been seeking stability at center.
What does the trade mean for the Eagles?
The deal represents another significant change to Philadelphia’s offensive line within two days. The Eagles lost veteran All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson, who announced his retirement on October 6.
Philadelphia now faces the task of reshaping its offensive line while gaining valuable future draft capital through the Jurgens trade.
