Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will depart on Monday for a two-day official visit to Doha, where he is scheduled to meet Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Foreign Office (FO) announced. The visit comes at the invitation of the Qatari leadership and aims to deepen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz will hold bilateral discussions with Sheikh Tamim, focusing on political engagement, economic collaboration, energy partnerships, and people-to-people exchanges. Both countries are expected to explore new avenues in trade, investment, infrastructure development, energy, and manpower export.

The FO highlighted that Pakistan and Qatar share a longstanding partnership characterized by mutual trust and close coordination at regional and international forums. The visit will also provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional and global developments, reaffirming the two nations’ commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

PM Shehbaz will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, alongside other ministers and senior officials. The Foreign Office underscored that the visit reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two countries and underscores their shared commitment to strengthening multifaceted cooperation.

This will be PM Shehbaz’s third visit to Doha since September 2025. During his previous trips, he expressed solidarity with Qatar following Israeli attacks and participated in a joint summit of the Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the Gulf state.
