With just two weeks remaining, Samsung has officially confirmed that its Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on February 25, where the spotlight is expected to fall on the unveiling of the Galaxy S26 series.

According to a report citing leaks from WinFuture, this year’s Unpacked event is likely to emphasize software improvements over substantial hardware upgrades.
Leaked specifications suggest that the standard Galaxy S26 could feature a modest battery boost, increasing from 4,000mAh to 4,300mAh — a meaningful upgrade for users who favor compact smartphones. All three models in the series are also expected to support wireless charging through compatible cases, rather than integrating built-in Qi2 magnetic technology.
On the camera front, hardware changes appear minimal. The primary sensor and 5x telephoto lens are said to remain largely unchanged from the previous generation, though both lenses may include wider apertures, potentially enhancing low-light photography performance.
In terms of memory and storage, the Galaxy S26 lineup is rumored to retain configurations similar to last year, with at least 16GB of RAM across all variants. Reports also suggest that Samsung could discontinue the 128GB entry-level version of the standard S26.
