TWIN FALLS, Idaho: Multiple people were killed and several others injured after a shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday afternoon, according to local authorities.
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said during a press conference that the suspected shooter was found dead at the scene from what officials described as self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect or confirmed a possible motive behind the shooting.
The In-N-Out location had opened only one week earlier, making the incident one of the first major events at the newly launched restaurant.
What Do Authorities Know About the Investigation?
Police said they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the suspect’s identity and the events that led to the attack.
Videos circulating online showed restaurant employees wearing red uniforms and branded hats leaving the area and seeking shelter in the parking lot as the incident unfolded.
Authorities urged residents to avoid the area while emergency crews responded. Nearby roads, including access around the Perrine Bridge, were temporarily closed.
Officials initially reported that at least three people had been killed, though the exact number of fatalities and injuries was still being confirmed.
Twin Falls is located about 130 miles (205 kilometres) southeast of Boise and around 75 miles (120 kilometres) north of the Nevada border.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police expected to provide further updates as more information becomes available.
