Viral Video of Trump Warning Pakistan Is AI-Generated Deepfake

Multiple social media platforms are circulating a video that allegedly shows Donald J. Trump warning Pakistan to stay out of the Middle East conflict and instead focus on stabilising its economy. However, the claim is false—the video is a deepfake.

    Claim

On March 10, a video surfaced on Instagram showing Trump speaking about rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly between Saudi Arabia and Iran. In the clip, he appears to say:

“Now we hear that Pakistan may get involved. Let me say something very clearly tonight—Pakistan should stay out of this.”

He is also purportedly heard urging Pakistan to prioritise internal stability over external involvement.

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 751,000 views, 7,700+ likes, and more than 130 reshares. Similar versions of the clip have also circulated on Facebook and TikTok.

    Fact Check

Verification reveals that the video has been manipulated using artificial intelligence tools.

A reverse image search shows that the opening seconds of the clip are taken from Trump’s address to the nation on December 17, 2025. This authentic footage was later edited and repurposed to create the viral video. Importantly, the original speech contains no reference to Pakistan or the Middle East tensions described in the claim.

Further analysis strongly indicates that the audio is synthetic. AI detection platform Hive Moderation assigned the audio a 99.5% probability of being AI-generated. Similarly, Hiya identified the voice as a deepfake, giving it an authenticity score of just 3 out of 100.

    Verdict

The viral video is false. It combines authentic footage from a December 2025 speech with artificially generated audio to create a misleading narrative. There is no evidence that Trump made any statement warning Pakistan regarding involvement in Middle East conflicts.
