Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles in multiple areas of the occupied West Bank, leaving several people injured amid a surge in violence across the territory, according to local reports.
The attacks took place late Saturday in villages south of Jenin, including al-Fandaqumiya and Seilat al-Dahr, where settlers stormed residential areas and set properties ablaze, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.
In al-Fandaqumiya, settlers burned homes and vehicles while damaging other houses by smashing windows, as residents attempted to extinguish the fires. In Seilat al-Dahr, several homes were targeted and at least one resident was physically assaulted and wounded.
Separate violence was also reported in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, where settlers injured at least two Palestinians during another attack. Three individuals were arrested after settlers entered the area, reportedly under the protection of Israeli forces.
Footage verified by media outlets showed homes engulfed in flames and residents scrambling to control the fires, highlighting the intensity of the attacks.
The incidents occurred during Eid celebrations and are part of a broader wave of settler violence in the occupied West Bank. According to United Nations data, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the territory since the Gaza war began in October 2023.
The latest attacks have further heightened tensions in the region, where repeated incidents of arson, assaults, and property destruction by settlers have been reported in recent months.
