BTS Begins Comeback Era with Major U.S. Late-Night TV Return

Global K‑pop superstars BTS are officially entering a new comeback era with a high‑profile return to U.S. late‑night television next week, marking their first full‑group appearance since completing mandatory military service. The septet — RM, Jin, Suga, J‑Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — is scheduled for a special two‑night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 25 and March 26, featuring interviews and live performances that signal the start of promotional activities around their upcoming studio album.

The appearances come on the heels of the group’s long‑awaited reunion following staggered completions of South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements, which saw all members return to civilian life after several years apart. Industry insiders describe the late‑night return as a key moment in BTS’s promotional campaign leading into the release of their new album Arirang later this month, and part of a broader global push that also includes concerts and media events.

BTS’s comeback is also accompanied by major live events, including a March 21 concert in Seoul expected to draw hundreds of thousands of fans and livestream worldwide, as well as a wide‑ranging world tour scheduled to begin in April and span multiple continents. Security preparations in South Korea have been elevated ahead of the large public gathering, reflecting both the scale of the event and concerns about crowd safety amid high anticipation.

The group’s return follows years of solo and side projects during their hiatus, but these upcoming televised performances and live shows mark their first coordinated promotional push as a full unit. Music industry analysts say the high‑visibility U.S. television appearances could help re‑establish BTS’s presence in global mainstream markets and set the tone for what fans and critics alike see as one of the most significant comeback eras in the band’s history.
