MOSCOW: Russian forces carried out overnight strikes against infrastructure at Ukrainian Black Sea ports, Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry said Russian forces targeted fuel storage facilities in the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, as well as facilities in Biliari and Novi Biliari near Odesa.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the facilities were being used in support of the Ukrainian military.

The ministry did not provide further details on the scale of the damage or casualties from the reported strikes.

The claims could not immediately be independently verified.
