Quetta, January 31, 2026 – In a resounding display of courage, professionalism, and unbreakable resolve, Pakistan’s valiant security forces – including the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and local police – have decisively crushed a series of desperate, coordinated terrorist attacks launched by the notorious Fitna al-Hindustan (the Indian-sponsored Baloch Liberation Army or BLA) across Balochistan province today. The cowardly assaults, which targeted multiple locations including Quetta, Nushki, Mastung, Gwadar, Pasni, Kalat, Dalbandin, and others – totaling around 12 sites – were swiftly repelled through swift, precise, and highly effective counter-operations. Security sources confirmed that the terrorists, armed with guns, grenades, and other weapons, attempted to strike police stations, paramilitary posts, a high-security prison, and civilian areas in a bid to create chaos and undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Thanks to the alertness, superior training, and heroic sacrifices of our brave jawans, the vast majority of these attacks were foiled before they could inflict widespread damage. In fierce firefights and follow-up clearance operations, security forces eliminated a large number of terrorists – with confirmed reports indicating at least 100 to 109 militants neutralized so far, and figures rising as operations continue. This comes on the heels of yesterday’s successful raids that eliminated 41 more terrorists, bringing the total blows to the enemy in recent days to over 100.Tragically, 10 valiant security personnel (including police and FC members) embraced shahadat while defending the motherland and its innocent citizens. A few civilians were also martyred in the crossfire, including members of a hardworking Baloch laborer family in Gwadar – a stark reminder of how these foreign-backed elements target the very people they falsely claim to represent.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to the security forces, stating that they had successfully “foiled” the nefarious plot and accusing India of masterminding the violence through its proxies. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attacks by “Fitna al-Hindustan”, praising the forces for repelling the assaults and inflicting heavy losses on the militants. Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind affirmed that most attempts were thwarted due to timely action, while provincial leaders reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms.
These failed attacks expose the desperation of Fitna al-Hindustan, whose morale has been shattered by relentless intelligence-based operations (IBOs) that have dismantled their hideouts, supply lines, and command structures. The group’s reliance on foreign patronage is now laid bare for the world to see, as open support from certain quarters – including Indian media and social platforms – only further exposes this unholy nexus aimed at destabilizing Pakistan and sabotaging progress in Balochistan, including vital projects like CPEC that promise prosperity for the province’s people.
