Pamela Anderson Rules Out Return to ‘Baywatch’ Reboot

LOS ANGELES: Pamela Anderson has ruled out returning for Fox’s upcoming “Baywatch” reboot, saying she has not been contacted by producers about reprising her iconic role as lifeguard C.J. Parker.

Anderson, who starred in the original series from 1992 to 1997 alongside David Hasselhoff, said she has limited information about the new production and has no plans to return to the franchise.

“No one’s reached out to me. I don’t know much about it,” Anderson told Deadline in an interview published on July 24.

She said there had been earlier discussions involving her sons about possible involvement with the reboot, but those talks did not lead to an agreement.

“I know that they were talking to my sons at some point about producing, but I don’t think they had a meeting of the minds. I’m not sure what happened there, but I wish them well,” she said.

Who Is Returning for the New ‘Baywatch’ Reboot?

Fox’s reboot is scheduled to premiere in January 2027 and will feature several actors from the original series, including Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin, Kelly Packard and David Chokachi.

The new series will also introduce a new cast, including Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell and Noah Beck.

Anderson said she remains appreciative of her time on the original show but is focused on exploring new creative opportunities rather than revisiting her past role.

“It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach,” she said.

What Is Pamela Anderson Working on Now?

Anderson said she wants to pursue more challenging roles after receiving critical recognition for her performance in the 2024 film “The Last Showgirl,” which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

She said she is interested in taking on different characters and exploring projects beyond television.

“I want to make really bold choices. I want to surprise people. I want to surprise myself,” Anderson said.

She is currently appearing in the dark comedy “Rosebush Pruning,” which is playing in select U.S. theaters.
