LONDON: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attended the graduation ceremony of her youngest daughter, Mahnoor Safdar, at SOAS University of London during a private visit to the British capital.

Mahnoor Safdar completed her degree in Anthropology after studying at SOAS from 2023 to 2026. Maryam Nawaz described her daughter’s graduation as a moment of pride and happiness for the family.

Speaking to Geo News after the ceremony, Maryam said her three children had now completed their higher education and expressed the hope that every parent would have the opportunity to see their children receive a good education.

What did Maryam Nawaz say about PML-N unity?

During her London visit, Maryam rejected suggestions that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was facing internal divisions.

Responding to questions about reports of differences within the party, she said several people had previously attempted to divide the PML-N but the party had remained intact.

Maryam also dismissed speculation surrounding the party’s position amid the debate over the creation of new provinces and administrative units.

Earlier, she met PML-N UK leaders Ahsan Dar and Khurram Butt during a luncheon meeting. No formal political engagements were announced as part of her private visit.

What did Maryam say about governance in Punjab?

Speaking about governance, Maryam said other provinces should also adopt measures aimed at delivering visible results to the public.

She said the Punjab government was working continuously on development and public welfare and maintained that governments needed sustained effort to demonstrate their performance.

Maryam’s visit to London was primarily focused on attending her daughter’s graduation ceremony.
