A Karachi court has granted a three-day physical remand of alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias “Pinky” after police presented renewed grounds in a narcotics case registered by Karachi South Police.
The suspect, previously sent to jail on judicial remand, was produced before the court following an earlier rejection of police’s request for physical custody.
Investigators told the court that further custody was required to identify the source of cocaine supply, trace financial transactions, and complete a Criminal Record Office (CRO) verification. Police also informed the court that additional case histories linked to the suspect had been compiled.
According to law enforcement officials, Anmol alias Pinky was arrested from Karachi’s Garden area and is accused of operating a drug distribution network in the city. Police claim recovered material includes weapons, cocaine, and narcotics valued at approximately Rs1.5 million. She is also stated to have been absconding in multiple cases.
Investigators further reported the recovery of audio messages from her mobile phone, including an alleged voice note in which she warns associates of a possible arrest and suggests that her network would continue operations through another individual.
In a separate administrative development, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South was removed from the inquiry and replaced by DIG West Irfan Baloch. Authorities have been directed to examine procedural conduct and alleged protocol violations, with a report expected within three days. Officials indicated that disciplinary action may follow findings of negligence or misconduct.
