Rawalpindi: A local court has sent Hina Javed’s husband Faisal Asghar and domestic worker Zeeshan on three-day physical remand in connection with the murder of the 45-year-old woman, whose body was found at her apartment in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area. Police say a rope and wire allegedly linked to the killing have been recovered, while DNA samples from both suspects have been collected for forensic analysis.

What Did Police Recover in the Hina Javed Murder Investigation?

Police produced Asghar and Zeeshan before a magistrate and sought their physical remand to advance the investigation. The court approved the request and handed both suspects over to police custody for three days. Investigators said they recovered a rope and wire allegedly used in the murder and collected DNA samples from the suspects as part of the forensic investigation.

Police have also brought Asghar’s father, Asghar Ali Fayyaz, into the investigation and recorded his statement. The investigation is examining the alleged role of each person connected to the case, while forensic and post-mortem findings are expected to help establish the circumstances surrounding Javed’s death.

According to police, Asghar allegedly paid Zeeshan to assist in the killing, while the domestic worker allegedly facilitated the attack. These are allegations at the investigation stage and have yet to be established in court.

How Was Hina Javed Found Dead in Rawalpindi?

Hina Javed was found dead inside the bathroom of a second-floor apartment at Askari Apartments in Lalkurti. According to the FIR registered on the complaint of her brother, her hands were tied behind her back, her mouth was covered with cloth and a wire was placed around her neck and attached to the bathroom shower.

The murder case was registered at Civil Lines police station under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, relating to murder and acts carried out with common intention. Police have collected evidence from the apartment and conducted the post-mortem examination, while forensic findings remain part of the ongoing investigation.

Hina had married Faisal Asghar around nine months before her death. Her family has alleged that she had previously faced physical and psychological abuse during the marriage. The allegations are contained in the FIR and have not been established in court.

The case has drawn public attention as investigators work to determine the circumstances of the killing and the alleged role of each suspect. First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has also called for a swift and transparent investigation into Hina Javed’s death.
