LOS ANGELES: Pop star Ariana Grande became emotional during the second and final night of her Eternal Sunshine Tour stop in Los Angeles, pausing to thank fans for their continued support throughout her music career.
The 32-year-old singer broke down in tears after receiving a lengthy standing ovation from concertgoers, describing the moment as “very overwhelming.”
Addressing the audience, Grande expressed gratitude for the loyalty of her fans, who have supported her throughout more than two decades in the entertainment industry.
“You’re still by my side, supporting me,” she told the crowd, noting that it had been seven years since she last performed on tour before a live audience.
Grande described her fanbase as a “loving and safe presence” in her life and thanked them for standing by her through different stages of her career.
The singer also reflected on her musical journey, referencing songs spanning from her 2013 debut album Yours Truly to her latest release, Eternal Sunshine Deluxe.
During the concert, Grande briefly lightened the mood by joking about wearing contact lenses while touring for the first time, telling fans that it was nice to be able to see them more clearly during performances.
The Wicked actress launched her Eternal Sunshine Tour in Oakland last week, marking her return to the stage following her Sweetener Tour in 2019.
The tour supports Grande’s latest musical projects and represents her first major concert series in several years.
