LOS ANGELES: Disney’s Camp Rock 3 is set to premiere on Disney Channel on August 13, marking the return of the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato to the franchise that launched their careers nearly two decades ago. The film will begin streaming on Disney+ a day later.
The third installment reunites Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas as the fictional band Connect 3, while Demi Lovato reprises her role as Mitchie Torres. The sequel brings together the original cast alongside a new generation of performers.
Ahead of the release, Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra’s four-year-old daughter, Malti Marie, was among the first family members to watch the film, reflecting the franchise’s enduring appeal across generations.
How Has Fatherhood Changed the Cast’s Perspective?
The Jonas Brothers said returning to Camp Rock has taken on new significance as fathers, with the film now becoming part of their children’s lives.
Kevin Jonas said he recently watched the movie with his daughters, Alena and Valentina, and wife Danielle Jonas, describing their enthusiastic reaction to the new film.
The brothers said the franchise continues to hold a special place in their lives because of the memories attached to the original films, adding that introducing the story to a new cast and a new generation of viewers has made the experience particularly meaningful.
At the Los Angeles premiere, Demi Lovato also reflected on her personal journey since the original Camp Rock debuted in 2008. Looking back, she said she would advise her younger self to prioritise taking breaks when needed, noting that learning to protect her mental health has been one of the most important lessons of her career.
Camp Rock 3 marks the franchise’s first new installment in years and reunites its original stars while introducing new cast members ahead of its Disney Channel and Disney+ release.
