Iran is ready for dialogue to resolve tensions with the United States but that there are no concrete plans for talks with Washington even as Tehran faces the threat of U.S. military action. This comes as Donald Trump announced that another “large armada” is heading towards Iran. But what is Trump’s goal? “It’s unclear”, says General Richard Shirreff, former NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, on FRANCE 24. “But what is certain is that Trump is on very thin ice” as history has shown that U.S. intervention in the Middle East often doesn’t go as planned.
