Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan and women’s team captain Fatima Sana have been shortlisted among the nominees for the International Cricket Council Player of the Month award for February following their impressive performances in international cricket.
Farhan earned a place on the shortlist for the men’s award after a remarkable run in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where he emerged as the tournament’s highest run-scorer.
The right-handed batter scored 383 runs in seven matches at an average of 76.60 and a strike rate above 160, setting a new record for the most runs in a single edition of the tournament. He also became the first player to score two centuries in one T20 World Cup, surpassing the previous record held by Virat Kohli.
Farhan faces competition in the men’s category from Will Jacks of England and Shadley van Schalkwyk of the United States, who were also recognised for their performances during the same period.
