Nvidia’s Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang will not be travelling to India next week for the India AI Impact Summit, the company said on Saturday, citing “unforeseen circumstances.” The announcement was made ahead of the event, which is scheduled to be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modiand is expected to draw global technology leaders and political figures to New Delhi.
Huang had been listed as one of the principal speakers at the summit and was scheduled to address the media in New Delhi ahead of the event. His absence comes as a surprise given his prominence in the artificial intelligence industry and Nvidia’s central role in AI hardware and software innovation.
The company did not disclose specific reasons for the cancellation beyond referencing “unforeseen circumstances.” Nvidia reaffirmed its support for the summit and India’s burgeoning role in the global AI ecosystem, and a senior company delegation is expected to represent the firm in Huang’s place.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026, set to take place from February 16–20 in New Delhi, is a major global technology event bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the future of artificial intelligence, innovation, and collaboration worldwide.
