- Word limit: 1,000–1,400 words
Strong submissions demonstrate logical structure and engagement with ongoing debates.
Opinion
Opinion pieces may present a clear argument on a relevant issue. While a persuasive tone is acceptable, arguments must be grounded in facts, data, and careful reasoning.
- Word limit: 600–850 words
We do not publish emotive, partisan, or polemical writing.
Sources and Referencing
All factual claims must be supported by reputable and verifiable sources. Authors should include source links either within the text or at the end of the article.
Preferred sources include:

- Official documents
- Established international media outlets
Footnotes are not accepted.
Style and Language
Contributors should write for an informed international audience. All submissions must maintain a clear, professional, and analytical tone.

- Spell out acronyms on first use
- Use either British or American English consistently
Submission Format
- Articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
- PDF submissions are not accepted
- Hyperlinks should be embedded directly in the text
- Charts or tables (if included) must be clearly labeled and sourced
Author Bio and Headshot
Each submission must include:
- A short author bio (50–70 words) outlining relevant background or affiliation
- A recent professional headshot photograph
Submissions without a bio or headshot may not proceed to editorial review.
Originality and Ethical Standards
All submissions must be original and unpublished and written exclusively for Echo Asia News.
We do not accept AI-generated or substantially AI-assisted content. Authors are fully responsible for factual accuracy, originality, and proper sourcing. Submissions that fail to meet these standards may be rejected without review.
Editorial Review Process
All submissions undergo editorial review for quality, accuracy, relevance, and tone. Reviews typically take three to four working days.
Submission does not guarantee publication. If authors do not receive a response within four working days, they are free to submit their work elsewhere.
Accepted articles may be edited for clarity, length, and style while preserving the author’s voice and intent.
