South Korean boy band BTS has shattered their own sales records with the release of their new album ARIRANG, which debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and posted the biggest first-week sales for any group since the chart began tracking units in 2014.
According to industry data, ARIRANG moved approximately 641,000 equivalent album units in its first week, driven by strong physical and digital sales and streaming performance.
The album’s success marks BTS’s seventh chart-topping entry on the Billboard 200 and reinforces the group’s continued global popularity following their hiatus for mandatory military service.
In addition to U.S. chart dominance, ARIRANG has achieved blockbuster figures internationally, including robust sales and streaming metrics across Asia and global platforms.
