Pakistan’s batsman Sahibzada Farhan and spinner Usman Tariq have climbed the latest ICC Men’s T20I rankings, reflecting their strong performances in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, cricket sources reported.
According to the updated rankings, Farhan rose two places in the T20I batting list to become the third-ranked batter in the world, closing in on England’s Phil Salt in second position. India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to lead the batting rankings.
Usman Tariq registered one of the biggest gains among bowlers, jumping 59 places to reach 55th in the T20I bowling rankings following his impactful bowling performances in the tournament.
The latest standings also saw movement among other Pakistani players. Opener Saim Ayub dropped three spots to 34th in batting, while former captain Babar Azam slipped one place to 36th. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha fell one position to 38th, and Fakhar Zaman dropped to 88th in the batting rankings.
In the bowling rankings, spinner Abrar Ahmed declined two places to fifth, and Mohammad Nawaz fell three spots to 12th. Among pacers, Salman Mirza advanced one place to 18th and Shaheen Afridi rose four spots to 31st.
In the ICC T20I all-rounders’ list, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza reclaimed the top position, with Pakistan’s Ayub dropping to second and India’s Hardik Pandya holding third.
Farhan and Tariq’s rise highlights their growing influence in Pakistan’s T20 setup as the World Cup progresses.
