ISLAMABAD: Google has launched its Gemini Spark artificial intelligence (AI) agent in Pakistan as part of its broader rollout across the Asia-Pacific region, making the tool available to Google AI Ultra subscribers.
The company said Gemini Spark is designed to automate routine digital tasks by operating in the background across connected devices while integrating with Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Docs and Sheets.
According to Google, the AI agent is powered by Gemini 3.6 Flash and will be expanded to Google AI Pro subscribers in the coming weeks.
What Can Gemini Spark Do?
Google said Gemini Spark can automate a range of routine digital tasks, including managing customer inquiries, organising schedules, processing vendor invoices, handling travel information and drafting documents.
The AI agent can also assist with travel planning, event coordination, expense management and email responses by analysing information across supported Google Workspace applications.
The company said Spark operates under user direction and is intended to function as an active AI assistant capable of completing assigned tasks autonomously.
How Does Google Address User Control and Privacy?
Google said users remain in control of Gemini Spark and can choose whether to enable the service and determine which applications it may access.
The company added that the AI agent seeks user permission before carrying out high-impact actions, such as sending emails or making purchases.
Gemini Spark is currently available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in Pakistan and other Asia-Pacific markets, with wider availability planned for Google AI Pro subscribers in the coming weeks.
